May 12, 1999 I have finally retired my Olympus D-600L digital camera (sold it on eBay, actually) and I bought a new, sexy digicam: a Nikon Coolpix 950. Initial results are encouraging, as the 950 is proving to be more portable, less tempermental, and even higher quality than the Olympus. Read my user review if you want some details.
September 4, 1998 My loving and indulgent wife got me the ultimate shutterbug's birthday present: a Leica M6. I'm breathless with excitement over this magnificent camera. The first roll of film I ran through yielded utterly beautiful results. Stay tuned.
July 22, 1998 I spent a night at our neighborhood donut shop in search of a subject for an assignment for my photography course, and here's a work in progress for my final project.
June 30, 1998 I'm attending a continuing studies photography course at Stanford University this summer, and I've posted some of the black and white pictures I've made for the class.
June 24, 1998 Our family went to Hawaii, and naturally my camera gear accompanied us. I put together a little travelog of words and pictures.
May 21, 1998 I just bought a Polaroid SprintScan Plus. It arrives next week...woo hoo!
May 3, 1998 My Olympus D-600L and I visited the 1998 Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance.
